Microsoft's Trocr Small Handwritten is a fine-tuned TrOCR model for optical character recognition (OCR) on single text-line images, particularly suited for handwritten text recognition. It is genuinely best at recognizing characters in images of handwritten text, thanks to its fine-tuning on the IAM dataset.
