Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This policy applies to everyone who uses Inferbase, and to everything sent through it, whether it is served on our managed accounts, your provider keys or your cloud accounts.

1. The models' own rules apply

Every model you use through Inferbase comes with terms from its creator and from the provider that serves it: a model licence, a usage policy, or both. You must follow them. Where they are stricter than this policy, they win. Each model's catalog page names its licence; the creator's and the provider's published usage policies apply as well.

2. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

  1. break the law, or help someone else break it;
  2. create, distribute or solicit child sexual abuse material, or sexualize minors in any way;
  3. plan, promote or assist violence, terrorism, or the development of biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapons;
  4. harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate unlawfully against people, or incite others to;
  5. infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, including by processing personal data without a lawful basis;
  6. generate or spread fraud, scams, phishing, malware, or deceptive content meant to mislead people about who or what created it, including impersonating a real person without their consent;
  7. make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people (credit, employment, housing, insurance, legal or medical determinations) without meaningful human review and the disclosures the law requires;
  8. run surveillance, facial recognition or biometric identification of people without a lawful basis.

3. Protecting the Service

You must not:

  1. probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission (report findings to legal@inferbase.ai; good-faith research reported to us will not be pursued);
  2. interfere with the Service or other users, including by overloading it;
  3. circumvent limits, plans, quotas, rate limits, billing or guardrails, including by creating multiple accounts or organizations to multiply free usage;
  4. resell or relay free-plan access, or offer the Service's managed inference as your own inference service to third parties without an agreement with us;
  5. share API keys outside your organization, or use another person's credentials;
  6. try to extract model weights, or the internals of our routing and classifiers, through the Service;
  7. scrape the catalog or the website by automated means beyond what our robots.txt and published endpoints allow.

4. What we may do

We may refuse a request, apply guardrails, throttle, suspend or close a key, project, organization or account that we reasonably believe breaches this policy, and we may report illegal content to the authorities. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. A provider may also refuse or report content under its own rules.

5. Reporting

Report misuse of the Service to legal@inferbase.ai.
